Pro-Family Group Blasts Canadian Court Ruling on Homosexual Marriage

( - A California-based pro-family group is blasting the Canadian Supreme Court's ruling Thursday for "creating homosexual 'marriage' out of thin air."

Campaign for Children and Families President Randy Thomasson called the ruling "very shabby." Thomasson said the decision is "all the more reason" for Californians "to rise up and oppose the full-blown 'homosexual marriage license' bill" introduced this week in the state Legislature.

"You can't find homosexual 'marriage' in the Canadian constitution - so these activist judges just made it up! The bad behavior of this wrong-headed court grossly undermines marriage and greatly disrespects their own constitution," Thomasson said in a statement.

"If these were American judges or politicians, they would be ousted from office for trashing natural marriage and the vote of the people," he said.

"Marriage is an exclusive relationship for a man and a woman, the literal foundation of civilization. Judges and politicians who pervert and trash natural marriage are actually harming the healthy role models that impressionable children so desperately need," Thomasson said.
