(CNSNews.com) -- Among the thousands of phone texts between FBI paramours Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, who are being investigated for alleged malfeasance and political bias at the Bureau, is a text from 2016 in which Page, a senior FBI attorney, says of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), he "always reminds me of a turtle."
The lovers also criticized House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.), pediatric brain surgeon Dr. Ben Carson, and American exceptionalism.
Peter Strzok is the FBI's deputy assistant director of the Counterintelligence Division and Lisa Page is an attorney at the Bureau. Both of them, who are married to other people, reportedly started an extramarital afffair in 2015.
Many of their phone texts reveal that both FBI agents were extremely anti-Donald Trump and wanted Hillary Clinton to win the 2016 presidential election.
Strzok reportedly was one of the agents who interviewed Clinton in the FBI's investigation of her mishandling of classified documents and use of a private email server while Secretary of State.
Strzok also reportedly was involved in editing the FBI director's exoneration of Clinton, drafts of which were written months before Clinton was interviewed by the Bureau.
After FBI Director James Comey was fired by President Trump in May 2017 and Special Counsel Robert Mueller -- the FBI director prior to Comey -- was appointed by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, Mueller brought Strzok onto his investigative team.
Lisa Page, working under then-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, a hardcore leftist, was also briefly assigned to Mueller's team. She eventually was reassigned back to the FBI in 2017.
After the many anti-Trump messages exchanged between Page and Strzok were discovered, in mid-2017, Strzok was sent back to the FBI and assigned to its Human Resources department.
On Feb. 7, 2018, the Senate Homeland Security Committee released an interim report, "The Clinton Email Scandal and the FBI's Investigation of It." In that report are thousands of phone texts.
On July 20, 2016, Donald Trump was officially declared the Republican nominee for president.
In a text to Strzok that day, sent at 1:12:03 AM, Page wrote, "Mitch McConnell always reminds me of a turtle."
Ten minutes later, Strzok texted Page, "Amd [and] Paul Ryan's a jerky!"
In an earlier text, Strzok criticized pediatric brain surgeon Dr. Ben Carson, texting Page, "Hopefully you get home in time for crazy-ass grain storage pyramid Ben Carson tonight."
Two days later, Strzok condemned American exceptionalism. In a July 22 text to Page, he wrote, "There's a difference between that," the U.S. governmental system, "and exceptionalism."
"Just look at the word," exceptinalism, said Strzok. "It implies not only that we're great, but that you suck. And that we are better and you should change to be like us. It goes hand in hand with American arrogancism."
