(CNSNews.com) - President Donald Trump tweeted Friday that Attorney General Jeff Sessions should look into corruption on the “other side” of the political aisle, including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s deleted emails, former FBI Director James Comey’s “lies & leaks,” Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s “conflicts,” former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, former FBI Peter Strzok, FBI attorney Lisa Page, and Associate Attorney General Bruce Ohr.

“Department of Justice will not be improperly influenced by political considerations.” Jeff, this is GREAT, what everyone wants, so look into all of the corruption on the “other side” including deleted Emails, Comey lies & leaks, Mueller conflicts, McCabe, Strzok, Page, Ohr......” the president tweeted.

“...FISA abuse, Christopher Steele & his phony and corrupt Dossier, the Clinton Foundation, illegal surveillance of Trump Campaign, Russian collusion by Dems - and so much more. Open up the papers & documents without redaction? Come on Jeff, you can do it, the country is waiting!” Trump tweeted.

“Ex-NSA contractor to spend 63 months in jail over ‘classified’ information. Gee, this is ‘small potatoes’ compared to what Hillary Clinton did! So unfair Jeff, Double Standard,” the president added.

Meanwhile, as CNSNews.com reported, some Republicans are coming to Sessions’ aid, calling on the president not to fire the attorney general for refusing to act as a “political hack.”

Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) took to the Senate floor on Thursday to communicate publicly what he told the president in private - that Sessions should not be fired.

Last month, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said that if Sessions is fired, “there will be holy hell to pay.”

“As a human being, I think he should show respect for Jeff Sessions as a person. Jeff Sessions was the most loyal supporter of Donald Trump. A rock-solid conservative. The reason I like him so much is I often disagree with him, but I'd never believe he was a man who lacks integrity or fair play,” Graham told CNN in July.

“This effort to basically marginalize and humiliate the attorney general is not going over well in the Senate. I don't think it's going over well in the conservative world. If you believe Jeff Sessions should be fired, use the power you have and accept the consequences. I hope it stops. I'm 100% behind Jeff Sessions,” the senator said.

“The chairman of the Judiciary Committee sent a pretty chilling tweet yesterday. There will be no confirmation for a new attorney general in 2017. If Jeff Sessions is fired, there will be holy hell to pay. Any effort to go after Mueller could be the beginning of the end of the Trump presidency, unless Mueller did something wrong,” Graham added.
