Monday night was ‘judges pick’ and ‘freestyle’ performance on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars.
The judges chose the Samba as the repeat routine for Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas. Robertson family members joined Sadie on stage once again this season with duck calls as the duo danced to Pharrell’s ‘Hunter’.
Some of the duck calls made it out into the audience as they could be heard along with cheers as the duo finished their performance.
The judges gave the Samba a 38 out of 40. For the second performance Ballas and Robertson hit the reset button and aimed high in the Freestyle dance with a video game influenced number that received a perfect 40.
Dressed as Super Mario and Princess Peach from the Nintendo video game series Ballas and Robertson danced to music derived from the game and received a perfect score.
Judge Julianne Hough shouted, “Game over!” at the end of the performance. “Honestly, that was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.”
"Welcome to the hall of fame because to me that was the most memorable freestyle we have seen in ages," judge Carrie Ann Inaba said.
Bethany Mota was sent home at the end of the night’s performances. The 19th season finale is Tuesday night as Robertson, Alfonso Ribeiro and Janel Parrish face off for the Mirrorball Trophy.
