(CNSNews.com) - In an address delivered from the White House tonight, President Barack Obama said that an international climate change agreement made by nearly 200 nations will not “solve” climate change but will allow Americans to leave their children a world that is “more free.”

“Today, thanks to strong principled American leadership, that’s the world that we’ll leave to our children, a world that is safer and more secure, more prosperous and more free.

“That is our most important mission in our short time here on this earth.”

“In the past seven years, we’ve transformed the United States into the global leader in fighting climate change,” he said.
