Levin: No Mission Left in Afghanistan

By James Beattie | November 26, 2013 | 12:04pm EST

On his syndicated radio program Monday, Mark Levin said that there was “no mission left in Afghanistan” under President Obama, adding that “We lost Iraq. All that blood, and this fool, this fool just withdraws – nope, no deals, nothing, just withdraws.”

To date, the US has lost 2,155 soldiers in Afghanistan and 4,410 in Iraq.

“You know you start noodling over this stuff. Under Obama what did we lose?  We lost Iraq. All that blood, and this fool, this fool just withdraws – nope no deals, nothing, just withdraws. And Iran has enormous influence over that government now.”

Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai rejected an ultimatum from National Security Adviser Susan Rice which would keep U.S. troops in the country after 2014. Karzai issued new demands, including the release of all inmates at Guantanamo Bay.

The White House issued a summary saying that, “Ambassador Rice stressed that we have concluded negotiations and that deferring the signature of the agreement until after next year’s elections is not viable, as it would not provide the United States and NATO allies the clarity necessary to plan for a potential post-2014 military presence.”

Levin states that there is no mission left under President Obama.

“I mean it’s just awful, look at Afghanistan, look at all the GIs we lost in Afghanistan. What the hell is our mission in Afghanistan, there is no mission left in Afghanistan under this president,” Levin said.

“Like I said last year, let’s get the hell out, I wouldn’t want this commander-in-chief if my kids were in the military. For crying out loud, what are we doing now? We’re not doing anything there. Certainly not interested in victory,” he added.
