Abortion Enthusiasts Were for Undercover Video Before They Were Against It

Planned Parenthood can’t seem to come up with an excuse for harvesting babies’ organs, so they have instead pointed their guns at the messenger who exposed the abortion giant’s misdeeds. But Planned Parenthood’s cries ring hollow when you discover that its allies regularly engage in identical tactics to undermine pro-life pregnancy centers.

First, the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) released footage of Dr. Deborah Nucatola sipping wine while casually discussing the harvesting and subsequent sale of fetal organs. CMP then released a second video of a doctor discussing prices for fetal organs and joking that she wanted to make it “worth it” because she wanted to drive a Lamborghini. Now CMP has released a third and fourth video with even more grotesque footage.

To obtain the footage, CMP went undercover as a company facilitating tissue donation for research. It created a corporate entity and represented itself as buyers of fetal organs, and while doing so, filmed Planned Parenthood officials admitting to harvesting fetal organs, bartering over the price of livers, and discussing the altering of abortion techniques to get intact specimens without regard for the mother’s health.

Planned Parenthood and its media and political allies have tried in vain to make the story about CMP’s tactics. But those same organizations and individuals have long sung the praises of undercover “sting” operations conducted by NARAL Pro-Choice America inside of pro-life pregnancy centers.

NARAL and its allies regularly send in women undercover to pregnancy centers across the country, posing as pregnant women (ensuring a positive pregnancy test with the urine of a pregnant woman), in order to obtain information, footage, and audio to use in smear campaigns against pregnancy centers. NARAL then regularly releases state-specific “reports” (full of citations to NARAL itself) leading to the conclusion that pregnancy centers are “fake clinics” that deceive women into keeping their children (as if keeping a child is a negative outcome).

The media, politicians, and Planned Parenthood have wholeheartedly supported NARAL’s investigations. They call for legislation to unnecessarily burden pregnancy centers or demand that they be shut down outright.

But now these same organizations – including NARAL itself – are “outraged” over the same tactics when used to expose Planned Parenthood.

So what did NARAL actually “uncover” while it was for undercover investigations before it was against them? They found that pro-life pregnancy centers are talking to women about their pro-life organizational beliefs. They railed against pregnancy centers by screaming “coercion!” when centers offered women material assistance for their child such as diapers, formula, and clothes. And they shouted “lies!” when pregnancy centers told women that abortion may have a lifelong negative emotional impact.

What pregnancy centers were “caught” doing was legal, ethical, and largely helpful to the women receiving services. They were providing medical, material, and emotional support to women in unplanned pregnancies, free of charge.

On the other hand, what CMP evidently uncovered was organ harvesting, the potential manipulation of a dangerous medical procedure without a patient’s consent, and a blatant disregard for the life and health of mother and child. Planned Parenthood was caught in the cold and gruesome act, and now they are attempting to save face by pointing fingers.

Planned Parenthood hasn’t attempted to deny that it harvests fetal organs, nor has it denied that it alters the procedure to ensure those organs are in perfect condition. Planned Parenthood has proven that its bottom line is far more important than a woman’s health. Pregnancy centers seek to serve women’s medical, emotional, and material needs during an unplanned pregnancy. And most of them do it all for free.

Planned Parenthood, on the other hand, sees these girls, women, and their children as money-making ventures. And they are keeping this bloody venture afloat on the backs of the American people, from whom Planned Parenthood received more than a half billion dollars last year alone. Planned Parenthood has been pick-pocketing the taxpayer for too long, despite being repeatedly exposed for its racist roots, its protection of sexual predators at the expense of young girls, and its waste, abuse, and potentially fraudulent financial misdeeds.

Planned Parenthood can scream all it wants that it got caught on camera, but it shouldn’t be able to continue to run its propaganda campaigns on our dime. It’s time to defund Planned Parenthood.
