What’s the Scoop? ice cream shop in Portland, Ore., is partnering with NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon to sell “Rocky Roe v. Wade” ice cream.

The pro-abortion themed ice cream sells for $9.50 a pint, with half of the proceeds going to abortion advocate NARAL. It has been available for purchase since Aug. 13 and will be offered until Aug. 26. Three other flavors—Honey Vanilla, Brown Butter Almond Brittle and Chocolate Sorbet—are also offered in pint size to support NARAL’s mission to “#SaveRoe.” Abortion supporters fear that a shift in the Supreme Court could result in the overturning on the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion.

In their Facebook post promoting the ice cream flavor, NARAL wrote, “Order your pints now and help defend reproductive freedom! #SaveRoe.”

“It’s not clear why the group chose this time frame to sale their desert. However, it’s likely they intended the sale to coincide with the Senate hearings for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, who is anti-abortion,” TheBlaze reported.

Catherine Glenn Foster, President and CEO of Americans United for Life (AUL) called the marketing move an effort to cash in before Kavanaugh’s virtually-certain confirmation:

“Democrats are realizing they won't be able to Stop Kavanaugh and pulling stunts like this only further shows their losing hand. Barring some kind of shocking, breaking news, Judge Kavanuagh is totally on track to become the next Supreme Court Justice.”
