Commenting on the seemingly never-ending political battles in Washington, D.C., evangelist Franklin Graham blasted the liberal "news media" for their "vicious and relentless" attacks on President Donald Trump, which are so overwhelming now it is "sickening."
In a Dec. 26 post on Facebook, Rev. Graham, head of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), said he was a bit exhausted from all the Christmas activities but he was also "tired of all the fighting in Washington."
"You can’t turn on the news or read the headlines online without being overwhelmed by all of the political squabbling (to put it mildly)," he said.
"The news media are so vicious and relentless in their fault finding and their attacks on the president," said the revrend. "It’s just sickening."
"We have the potential for so much good and so much progress for our nation, but Washington is squandering it away over political agendas," he said. "I’m thankful that I have put my faith and trust in God who never grows weary and is never shut down, no matter what the problems are."
Rev. Graham concluded by quoting Isiah 40:28: “The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary."
Franklin Graham is the son of the late and renowned evangelist Billy Graham (1918-2018). In addition to overseeing the BGEA, Franklin Graham is the president of the international aid group, Samaritan's Purse.
