Former Rep. Michele Bachmann
Speaking about her trip to Israel and current world events, former Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) said "we're seeing the fulfillment of scripture right in front of our eyes," and Christians must do all they can to "share Jesus Christ with everyone" because "He's coming soon."
Rep. Bachmann made her remarks from Israel during a Nov. 4 radio interview with Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, the host of "Washington Watch with Tony Perkins."
"Almost every article in the paper" concerns Israel and Middle East events "and it ties with so much biblical prophecy," said Bachmann. "This week really was about biblical prophecy in many ways."
"And we're seeing as events are speeding up," she said, "events are speeding up so quickly right now, and we see how relevant the Bible is, and we're reading our newspaper at the same time we're learning about these biblical events."
"It's literally day by day by day, we're seeing the fulfillment of scripture right in front of our eyes, even while we're on the ground," said Bachmann.
She continued, "We recognize the shortness of the hour, and that's why we as a remnant want to be faithful in these days and do what it is that the Holy Spirit is speaking to each one of us, to be faithful in the Kingdom and to help bring in as many as we can -- even among the Jews -- share Jesus Christ with everyone that we possibly can because, again, He's coming soon."
Michele Bachmann served four terms in the U.S. House of Representatives (2007-2015) and was a contender for the Republican nomination for president in 2012. She also served in the Minnesota Senate from 2001 to 2003.
