“Hercules” actor and “Andromeda” star, best known for his more recent family-oriented films “Let There Be Light” and “God’s Not Dead,” Kevin Sorbo praised President Trump on social media Friday morning, saying, he “has done more for the USA since Reagan,” and suggested the “Libs will never report this.”
“Love him or hate him…..he has done more for the USA since Reagan,” wrote Kevin Sorbo in a tweet. “The mainstream Libs will never report this. They hate the truth, facts, etc…..”
Sorbo rounded out his post by hashtagging several news organizations and touting Trump’s “MAGA” slogan in a similar social media post on his Official Facebook Page:
“#CNN #FOX #MSNBC #Fakenews #Libs #Conservative #MAGA #Trump”
The post by Kevin Sorbo stems from a Marc Thiessen piece on Fox News with the headline “Marc Thiessen: Trump could be the most honest president in modern history.”
In the piece, Thiessen acknowledges that “Trump lies all the time,” noting Trump “said that he ‘enacted the biggest tax cuts and reforms in American history’ (actually they are the eighth largest) and that ‘our economy is the strongest it's ever been in the history of our country’ (which may one day be true, but not yet).”
For Trump to make such remarks, “it’s a New York thing,” Thiessen suggested.
“But when it comes to the real barometer of presidential truthfulness -- keeping his promises -- Trump is a paragon of honesty. For better or worse, since taking office Trump has done exactly what he promised he would do,” wrote Thiessen.
The bottom line, according to the Fox News piece, is that from President Trump’s promises to pass tax reform and roll back regulations to his promises to bring jobs and opportunity back to America and reduce unemployment and from his promise to cancel many Obama-era policies, including withdraw from the Clean Power Plan and the Trans-Pacific Partnership, “[w]hen Trump says he will do something, you can take it to the bank.”
Concluded Thiessen, “The fact is, in his first two years, Trump has compiled a remarkable record of presidential promise-keeping. He'd probably say it's the best in history -- which may or may not end up being true. It's too soon to tell.”
