During President Donald Trump’s second State of the Union address (SOTU) on Jan. 05, 2019, actor Kevin Sorbo, best known for his roles in “God’s Not Dead,” “Soul Surfer,” and his earlier TV series hit shows “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys” and “Andromeda,” called out Democrats, specifically the women wearing white at Trump’s SOTU, on his Twitter page, saying “they sure are out of touch with America” on late-term abortion.
“The Democrats along with all the women in white, have no reaction at the call to restrict late-term abortion,” wrote Kevin Sorbo in a tweet. “80% of the public disapproves. Wow..they sure are out of touch with America.”
Sorbo’s tweet included the following hashtags: “#SOTU #POTUS #Abortion #hate #anger.”
Kevin Sorbo’s tweet came after “a bloc of Democratic congresswomen, dressed in ‘suffragette white,’ [sat] stone-faced [and in] silence as colleagues cheered President Trump’s request for ‘Congress to pass legislation to prohibit the late-term abortion of children who can feel pain in the mother’s womb,’” reported Patrick Goodenough of CNSNews.com. “Trump had just spoken about a plan for nationwide paid family leave – comments that were evidently well-received – but then juxtaposed the idea of a mother bonding with a newborn baby with recent controversies over late-term abortion and infanticide.”
President Trump said about late-term abortion in his SOTU, “To defend the dignity of every person, I am asking Congress to pass legislation to prohibit the late-term abortion of children who can feel pain in the mother’s womb.”
