Levin on Obama’s Climate Change Address: 'This is a War on Capitalism'

By Margaret Knapp | August 4, 2015 | 1:49pm EDT

“This is a war on capitalism,” nationally syndicated radio show host Mark Levin said Monday, referring to President Obama’s recent address on climate change. ”It's a war on private property, it is a war on the private sector, and most of all, it is a destruction of our governing system....

“Obama’s not looking out for the future, he’s destroying the future,” Levin continued.

Here is the transcript of what Levin said:

“Now here’s Obama. This man is deadly serious about destroying America. This is a war on capitalism, it is a war on private property, it’s a war on the private sector, and most of all it is a destruction of our governing system....

Obama: “I am convinced that no challenge poses a greater threat to our future and future generations than a change in climate, and that’s what brings us here today.”

“How stupid is this? A change in climate. You know, this is like two, three hundred years ago the tribes would do their rain dances trying to change the climate. This is a rain dance. The difference is it affects all of us; it steals from all of us.

“Obama’s not looking out for the future, he’s destroying the future. He’s not looking out for children. But he’s convinced, so that’s all that matters....

Obama: “We’re the first generation to feel the impact of climate change.

“Oh, listen to this. ‘We’re the first generation to feel the impact of climate change. The climate’s never changed before this generation.’ What the hell is he talking about? There’s no science to back this up.

“The climate has never changed before this generation? I can guarantee you the climate has changed before this generation; all kinds of things have happened before this generation.

“Earthquakes, tornadoes, horrific hurricanes; all kinds of stuff. Locusts – we’ve had locusts. Remember the dust bowl? We had that too. Climate change. We had climate change before there were cars.

“Now we’re the first generation – this is the key. This is the key. For Obama this means nothing ever came before. The world began today; the world started today. Because Obama’s president – God put him there.

“He’s the messiah, there he is. So everything starts today.”
