On his nationally syndicated radio talk show “The Mark Levin Show” on Monday, host Mark Levin defended President Donald Trump, suggesting that the Media and Democrats are putting words into Trump’s mouth about Baltimore and calling it “sickening.”
“I read the president’s tweet over and over and over again, and in no tweet was he calling the people of Baltimore anything,” stated Mark Levin. “The media and the democrats are putting words in his mouth and putting words in our ears. He didn’t say anything derogatory about the people of Baltimore. And why would he? He was pounding Elijah Cummings. And I heard a network news program that said he’s attacking another person of color. This is sickening, ladies and gentlemen.”
Mark Levin’s comments stem from some of the media reaction to President Donald Trump’s recent tweets and comments concerning Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) and the city of Baltimore on his Twitter page, White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney suggesting Trump is “right” to put focus on Cummings’ district. Vox.com went so far as to suggest Trump’s tweets, comments were, according to the headline, “another racist attack on a lawmaker of color.”

The media and the democrats are putting words in his mouth and putting words in our ears. He didn’t say anything derogatory about the people of Baltimore. And why would he? He was pounding Elijah Cummings. And I heard a network news program that said he’s attacking another person of color. This is sickening, ladies and gentlemen.
“We’ve people in public office who say and do things like Elijah Cummings, like the so-called squad. The president reacts to them. These are public officials, as he does white people in office, like Joe Biden and Bernie Senders and the rest. And the media and the democrats are involved in unconscionable and immoral campaign against this man.
“They are all leftists. They are all progressives. They are all social activists. Like I write in my book, ‘Unfreedom of the Press’ – those of you who read it know exactly what’s going on – they’re one and the same. The media are driving the Democrats. The media are driving the Democrats on this racist issue. The media are driving the Democrats on impeachment, as the media were driving the Democrats on Russia-collusion.
“The media are aiding and abetting these various narratives, and in fact leading on them, as I write. This is not what a free media do. And the media hate Trump because Trump calls them out by name and by news room.”
