After video of 16 year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg’s theatrical, angry diatribe at the United Nations (U.N.) on Monday went viral, President Donald Trump responded with a playful reply on Twitter.
“She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!” Trump tweeted, replying to the video posted on Twitter by Wired.com.
Thunberg is anything but a “happy” young girl in the video. Instead, she is indignant, repeatedly asking the U.N. “How dare you?” and warning the U.N. that “we will be watching you”:
“My message is that we will be watching you.
“This is all wrong; I shouldn’t be up here – I should be back in school, on the other side of the ocean. Yet, you all come to us young people for hope – how dare you?”
“You are still not mature enough,” the teen says, warning that her generation has drawn a line in the sand and won’t “let you get away with this”:

“You are still not mature enough to tell it like it is. You are failing us. But, young people are starting to understand your betrayal. The eyes of all future generations are upon you. And, if you choose to fail us, I say, we will never forgive you.
“We will not let you get away with this. Right here, right now is where we draw the line. The world is waking up.
“And, change is coming – whether you like it or not.”
