Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.)

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) lists incarcerating people who can’t afford to post bail as one of the things about the country’s justice system he wants to change.

Sanders took to Twitter to say, “No more” to four problems he sees in today’s justice system:

  • “No more private prisons and detention centers.”
  • “No more profiteering from locking people up.”
  • “No more ‘war on drugs.’”
  • “No more keeping people in jail because they're too poor to afford cash bail.”
