“The only ones ‘paying the price’ are the unborn,” Ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.) told Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), quoting one of the Democrat’s public threats against two Supreme Court justices who might vote to uphold a law restricting abortions.
Collins made the comment in a Tweet including a recent video of Schumer expressing “feigned outrage” at President Donald Trump for publicly criticizing (but, not threatening) a judge. Now, Rep. Collins writes, Schumer is threatening Supreme Court justices if they vote to protect the unborn:

On Wednesday, Sen. Schumer threatened two Supreme Court justices, Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch, saying they will “pay the price” and “won’t know what hit” them, if they vote to uphold a Louisiana law placing qualification requirements on abortion doctors:
“They’re taking away fundamental rights. I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind! And you will pay the price! You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”
Chief Justice John Roberts responded to Schumer’s remarks by issuing a statement saying that Supreme Court justices will not be intimidated by the senator’s threats:
“This morning, Senator Schumer spoke at a rally in front of the Supreme Court while a case was being argued inside. Senator Schumer referred to two Members of the Court by name and said he wanted to tell them that that “You have released a whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You will not know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.” Justices know that criticism comes with the territory, but threatening statements of this sort from the highest levels of government are not only inappropriate, they are dangerous. All Members of the Court will continue to do their job, without fear or favor, from whatever quarter.”
