UPDATE: Instagram has decided that Lopez’s post violates its standards and will eventually be deleted, The Washington Examiner reports:
“The comment violated Instagram's community guidelines and ‘will be removed shortly,’ a Facebook company spokeswoman told the Washington Examiner on Monday. The spokeswoman declined to answer questions on whether Lopez will lose access to the account either temporarily or permanently.”
The United States Secret Service "is aware" of Lopez's comment and takes all threats against the president "seriously," but does not comment on its protective service activities, a representative for the Secret Service told The Washington Examiner.
According to Fox News, representatives for Lopez say the comedian’s comment was merely “a joke.”
On Sunday, comedian George Lopez responded to a report Iran has put a bounty of President Donald Trump’s life by replying, “We’ll do it for half.”
Chicano Worldstar asked Lopez on Instagram for his thoughts on the reported call for an $80 million bounty on Trump made during a televised eulogy at the funeral of a top Iranian general killed by a U.S. airstrike in Baghdad, Iraq last week.
Lopez replied on Instagram by offering to kill Trump for half that amount.

On February 28, 2016, Lopez tweeted an image of notorious Mexican drug lord “El Chapo” holding then-candidate Trump’s bloody, severed head.
