Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D.-N.Y.), who is now being paid a salary of $174,000 as a member of Congress, is complaining about the financial stress of securing a second apartment.

“The thing Republicans taking cheap shots forget to mention is that it’s about having trouble affording a SECOND apartment,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote in a Tweet sent out on Sunday.

“I live in the Bronx and work in D.C. Need spot in both,” she said.

Ocasio-Cortez made these remarks while retweeting a Tweet from “progressive activist" Jordan Uhl who said: “Expecting her to easily drop serious cash in another high-rent area is ludicrous and only perpetuates the idea that the wealthy are worthy elected.”
