(CNSNews.com) - Rep. Ilhan Omar (D.-Minn.) sent out a tweet on Monday, reacting to the Supreme Court decision in Bostock vs. Clayton County, saying that lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) rights are human rights.

“LGBTQ rights are human rights,” Omar said in the tweet.

“Today’s historic decision brings us one step closer to achieving full equality under the law,” she said.

Omar’s tweet retweeted a story from National Public Radio about the Bostock v. Clayton County decision.

That decision, which the court decided 6-3, determined that the language in the Civil Rights Act of 1964 that bans employment discrimination based on “sex” also bans employment discrimination based on homosexuality or transgenderism.
