(CNS News) -- The popular, pro-life news outlet LifeSiteNews.com was banned from YouTube permanently on Feb. 10, according to information from the organization and YouTube. All videos produced by the news site were deleted from the platform.

In a statement emailed to CNS News, YouTube, which is owned by Google, explained the reason for the channel's deletion:

“In accordance with our long-standing strikes system, we terminated the channel LifeSite News Media for repeatedly violating our COVID-19 misinformation policy, which prohibits content that promotes prevention methods that contradict local health authorities or WHO.

“Any channel that violates our COVID-19 misinformation policy will receive a strike, which temporarily restricts uploading or live-streaming. Channels that receive three strikes in the same 90-day period will be permanently removed from YouTube.”

Commenting on YouTube's censorship, FNC's Tucker Carlson said, “Google pulled a pro-life news site off of YouTube. Why’d they do that? Simple: Google supports abortion. A lot of big corporations do."

"It’s simple: Children distract the labor force," said Carlson. "If you’re raising your family, you are not serving shareholders. Google doesn’t want to debate on those subjects, so they just shut the debate down. Hundreds of thousands of subscribers to LifeSiteNews will no longer be watching videos that question abortion, because they’re not allowed to.”

According to LifeSite, “being completely removed from YouTube means we’ve lost access to more than 300,000 followers.”

This comes after they were issued the first strike and suspension in November 2020. YouTube cited the violation as “medical misinformation”.

The pro-life news source has since moved their videos to Rumble.
