
(CNS News) -- Two weeks ago, President Joe Biden's job approval rating hit a historic low of 38%. In its newest poll, Quinnipiac University found that his approval has dropped one point to 37%. In addition, 52% of Americans say they disapprove of Biden's job performance.
As Quinnipiac reported on Oct. 19, "Americans give Joe Biden a negative 37 – 52 percent job approval rating, while 12 percent did not offer an opinion. The number is essentially unchanged from the negative 38 – 53 percent job approval rating he received on October 6th."
"In today’s poll, among registered voters, Biden receives a negative 40 – 51 percent job approval rating," said the polling firm. "Americans give Democrats in Congress a negative 30 – 60 percent job approval rating. Americans give Republicans in Congress a negative 23 – 65 percent job approval rating."

Also, 38% of Americans said they had a favorable opinion of Biden and 50% said they had an unfavorable opinion.
On former President Donald Trump, 58% of Americans said they do not want him to run for president in 2024; 35% said they do want him to run.
However, broken down politically, 78% of Republicans want Trump to run in 2024, and 16% of Republicans do not.
A majority of Americans, 52%, said the country is worse off today than it was one year ago; 41% said it was not worse off.
On the border wall, "Americans are split on building a wall along the border with Mexico as 45 percent support building a wall, while 49 percent oppose it," reported Quinnipiac.
