( - In two tweets on this first anniversary of the Mueller probe, President Donald Trump shared his disgust:

"Congratulations America, we are now into the second year of the greatest Witch Hunt in American History...and there is still No Collusion and No Obstruction. The only Collusion was that done by Democrats who were unable to win an Election despite the spending of far more money!'

"Wow, word seems to be coming out that the Obama FBI 'SPIED ON THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN WITH AN EMBEDDED INFORMANT.' Andrew McCarthy says, 'There’s probably no doubt that they had at least one confidential informant in the campaign.' If so, this is bigger than Watergate!"

And then a third tweet: "Despite the disgusting, illegal and unwarranted Witch Hunt, we have had the most successful first 17 month Administration in U.S. history - by far! Sorry to the Fake News Media and 'Haters,' but that’s the way it is!"

Meanwhile, Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani told Fox News's Laura Ingraham on Wednesday night that Special Counsel Robert Mueller should bring his investigation to a close.

(Story continues below)

"It's been a year,' Guiliani said. "He's gotten 1.4 million documents, he's interviewed 28 witnesses and he has nothing. Which is why he wants to bring the president to an interview. And we're demanding from him, tell us what you have to get from an interview that you don't already have? 'Cause he has all of the facts to make a decision."

Giuliani said there might be a "narrow area" where Trump would agree to sit for an interview, "if they could tell us why they need it."

"And the fact is, we would have to know what is it you want clarified?"

An interview might be okay if Mueller agrees to then end the probe, Giuliani said. "This is not good for the American people. The special counsel's office doesn't seem to have that sort of understanding that they are interfering with things bigger than them or us."

Asked about a Plan B or C if Mueller doesn't wrap up his probe, Giuliani said it doesn't involve firing Mueller or Rosenstein -- it involves finding what "legal remedies are available to us," including challenging a subpoena, if one is issued.

Giuliani said there has never been a good reason for the Trump-Russia investigation. "Comey should be under investigation," he said, for leaking the document that led to the appointment of the special counsel.

He said Mueller has everything he needs to write his report, right now, "today." "If you're going to write a fair report, write it. If you're going to write an unfair report, write it and we will combat it. We're ready to rip it apart. And we're ready to rip them apart, if that's what they want. We woud rather peacefully settle this and get it over with."
