(CNSNews.com) - Walking past reporters at the United Nations in New York on Monday, President Donald Trump was asked, "How seriously are you taking the impeachment process?"
"Not at all seriously," Trump responded.
The ever-present calls for impeachment have gained traction in recent days, after a whistleblower came forward with a complaint that reportedly involves President Trump's phone call in July with the Ukrainian president. Trump said on Sunday he did mention corruption and Joe Biden in that phone call, which was mostly "congratulatory."
Before the facts are known, some liberal media outlets and anti-Trumpers are running with allegations that President Trump may have threatened to withhold U.S. military aid to Ukraine to encourage an investigation of Hunter Biden's business dealings in Ukraine.
"We had a perfect phone call with the president of Ukraine," Trump said on Monday.
Everybody knows it. It's just a Democrat witch hunt. Here we go again. They failed with Russia, they failed with recession, they failed with everything, and now they are bringing this up.
The one who's got the problem is Biden. If you look at what Biden did. Biden did what they would like to have me do. Except there's one problem -- I didn't do it. What Biden did is a disgrace, and what his son did is a disgrace.
The son took money from Ukraine, the son took money from China, a lot of money from China. China would love to see -- they would think of nothing they would rather see than Biden get in, because they will take this great deal that we're about to make and they would really have themselves a deal. Let me just tell you, what Biden did was wrong.
Biden has talked about how he threatened to withhold a loan guarantee from Ukraine in 2016 unless a prosecutor investigating corruption was immediately fired. The prosecutor was indeed fired.
But Biden did not mention that the fired prosecutor was investigating the Ukrainian gas company that had Hunter Biden as one of its board members.
