( - Massive crowds and surging energy greeted President Donald Trump at his final midterm campaign rally Monday night in Cape Girardeau, Missouri -- home town of conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh, who introduced the president.

In his warm-up-the-crowd remarks, Limbaugh reminded everyone that Democrats call all of them "divisive."

"Divisive?" he asked. "The Democrats haven't even accepted they lost the election in 2016. That's what this is all about! It's serious stuff! All of this," he said.

"We're a great nation at risk in a dangerous world, and much of the risk we face is internal," Limbaugh continued:

Look at the caravan, just for an example. They think --- they think that the president doesn't want the caravan, you don't want the caravan, because we are racist or sexist. That's not it at all! It’s an issue of law. Why should we stand aside and let people break the law? What's so hard about this? We just stand aside and let them violate the law?

We get all these labels thrown at us. And we love our country and we want the best for everybody in it. We want the best for our kids and our grandkids. We want everybody to be great. We want everybody to experience the American dream.

You know, I'm from here. I'm from Cape Girardeau.

Fifty years ago was the first time -- I was 16 -- the first time I was told that I wasn't good enough to succeed in radio. Don't misunderstand, we are all told this. We all know how to fail. We don't need to go to the library to find books on how to fail, because we all do it. You'll never go to the library and find a book, "Great Moderates in America History’ or 'Great Committees in American History.’

Donald Trump wants America to be great again. And it's not a slogan, it's an objective.

Limbaugh said the Democrats' attempt to prove Trump stole the election by colluding with Russia was "made up." "Hillary Clinton colluded with Russia. Hillary Clinton rigged that election!"

He also addressed the size and the enthusiasm of the crowds that have attended Trump's rallies around the nation:

"These rallies, I have to tell you, they are the envy of official Washington. You realize there isn't a single elected official in either party who could do what this is tonight. Other than Donald Trump, there's no one. No one! And they're jealous. They are envious. This isn't supposed to happen. You people are supposed to love them, not Trump.

"And so guess what? They want to get in on it. Bill and Hillary Clinton and their national stadium tour. Have you seen Obama? He's been stumping down in Florida where I live. He's drawing crowds of a thousand people, two thousand people. Joe Biden can't fill a phone booth because he's looking for someone to punch out," Limbaugh  joked.

“This is incredible!” he told the crowd. And it's all because Trump has a "connection" with his base.

"There is no other politician with a connection to voters like this. Nobody has it. And Washington can't stand it. I'm not kidding. The establishment cannot stand it at all."
