( – Reggie Littlejohn, president of the human rights advocacy group Women’s Rights Without Frontiers, has written an open letter to President-elect Donald Trump urging him to investigate the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) for what she said is its complicity in Communist China’s coercive population control policies, including forced abortion.

“We at Women’s Rights Without Frontiers look forward to working with you to advance women’s rights all over the world,” Littlejohn said in the Dec. 1 letter.  “To that end, we respectfully request that you immediately investigate International Planned Parenthood.”

“If they are found to be complicit with coercive population control in China – as we believe they will be — we request that you defund them,” Littlejohn wrote.

“While posturing as a champion of choice, International Planned Parenthood has in fact been working hand in hand with the population control program in China, almost since its inception,” Littlejohn wrote.

Littlejohn said that because the IPPF receives federal funding it should be transparent about its operations abroad, including its working in partnership with the Chinese government.

“I believe it is impossible to partner so closely with the Chinese Communist Party’s forced abortion machine without being complicit in its atrocities,” Littlejohn wrote. “This is especially the case when this year we learned that the number of abortions in China is not 13 million, but a staggering 23 million a year.”

Littlejohn presents the case against the IPPF, including its partnership with the China Family Planning Association and its praise for the Communist government’s population control programs.

“President-Elect Trump, you are in a unique position to defund IPPF,” the letter concludes. “We look forward to the day when U.S. taxpayer dollars are no longer used to support the coercive population control machine in China.”
