(CNSNews.com) – Speaking at the 30th anniversary gala of the pro-abortion group Emily’s List on Tuesday, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton lauded the audience "as a room full of women and men who recognize the importance of making sure that all of our people have a chance to live up to their God-given potential."
“I have to say I am still kind of in the grandmother glow six months in. It’s better than any spa treatment,” said Clinton. “I highly recommend it.”
“But if there’s anything that can compete with it, it is a room full of women and men who recognize the importance of making sure that all of our people have a chance to live up to their God-given potential,” Clinton said.
According to the Guttmacher Institute, from 1973--when the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Roe v. Wade made the procedure legal--to 2011, nearly 53 million abortions have taken place in the United States.
The Institute’s Fact Sheet also states that 21 percent of all pregnancies in the U.S. end in abortion.
