(CNSNews.com) – The Rev. Billy Graham’s daughter, Anne Graham Lotz, told a gathering of hundreds of pastors on Capitol Hill on Thursday that she believes God is judging America because of its sin and wickedness.

“God, you’re bringing judgment on America,” Graham Lotz said at the Family Research Center’s Watchmen on the Wall 2016 pastor retreat. “We’re imploding for no other reason, and you’re backing away from us.

“You’re abandoning us as we defy you in our sin and our immorality and our wickedness,” she added.

Graham Lotz said America deserves judgment, because God is righteous but that he is also merciful and forgiving.

Earlier in her remarks Graham Lotz said she believed America is “coming under judgment.”

“Our nation is a mess,” Graham Lotz said. “We’re in deep trouble.

“So what’s wrong? Graham Lotz asked. “And I’m going to suggest that it’s more than just a storm at sea, although it certainly is that.

“But I want to suggest that our beloved nation of America is coming under judgment,” Graham Lotz said, citing Romans chapter one of the Holy Bible, where the Apostle Paul talks about God’s judgment on man for his sexual sin, greed and idolatry.
