(CNSNews.com) -- In Fiscal Year 2018, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency conducted 256,085 removals of illegal aliens who were in the United States, which included 726 removals of aliens with Communist Chinese citizenship and 71 removals of illegals who came from State Sponsors of Terror: Iran, Sudan and Syria.
The ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Report for FY 2018 (Oct. 1, 2017 - Sept. 30, 2018) explains that a "removal" is the deportation of "immigration violators who are illegally present in the country and have received a final order of removal. A removal is defined as the compulsory and confirmed movement of an inadmissible or deportable alien out of the United States based on such an order."
In FY 2016 there were 240,255 removals; in FY 2017, 226,119 removals; and in FY 2018, 256,085 removals.
Seventy-one of those removals were of citizens from State Sponsors of Terror. According to the U.S. State Department, a State Sponsors of Terror are "countries determined by the Secretary of State to have repeatedly provided support for acts of international terrorism."
In its report, ICE shows that there were 42 removals of citizens from Sudan who were illegally in the United States. There were 22 removals of Iranians and 7 removals of illegals from Syria.
The report also documents that ICE conducted 726 removals of citizens from the People's Republic of China who were illegally in the United States. Also, there were 135 removals of aliens from Saudi Arabia; 235 Pakistani removals; 229 Somali deportations; 107 Russian removals; 48 from Iraq; 30 from Afghanistan; and 8 from Libya.
