(CNSNews.com) – GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump seized on news Monday that then CNN commentator Donna Brazile gave Hillary Clinton a debate question prior to her March 6 debate with presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders which was hosted by CNN, saying if he did that he would get the electric chair.

“Donna Brazile did it again, Wikileaks today, she gave the questions to a debate to Hillary Clinton, and that was from a couple of weeks ago – happened again, but this time far worse. She gave the questions to a debate to Hillary Clinton,” said Trump. “Now, they’re all blaming Donna Brazile, and frankly, I think she just got fired from the network. She should be fired from the DNC.

As CNSNews.com reported Monday, a newly released email from Wikileaks showed that Brazile – who was named interim chair of the Democratic National Committee in July – told Clinton Campaign Chairman John Podesta, “One of the questions directed to HRC tomorrow is from a woman with a rash. Her family has lead poison and she will ask what, if anything, will Hillary do as president to help the ppl of Flint.”

“By the way, could you imagine if I did that? Bobby, what would happen to me if I did that?” Trump asked former Indiana University basketball coach Bobby Knight, who introduced him at the rally. “Electric chair, I think. The electric chair. If I did that, can you imagine?”

Meanwhile, CNN announced Monday that the network accepted Brazile’s resignation as a contributor two weeks ago. Her deal with the network was suspended in July when she became head of the DNC.
