(CNSNews.com) - President Donald Trump lashed out at CNN’s Don Lemon on Wednesday, calling him “the dumbest man on television” for calling the president “racist” in a question during CNN’s Democratic presidential debate.
“CNN’s Don Lemon, the dumbest man on television, insinuated last night while asking a debate ‘question’ that I was a racist, when in fact I am ‘the least racist person in the world.’ Perhaps someone should explain to Don that he is supposed to be neutral, unbiased & fair, or is he too dumb (stupid} to understand that,” Trump tweeted.
“No wonder CNN’s ratings (MSNBC’s also) have gone down the tubes - and will stay there until they bring credibility back to the newsroom. Don’t hold your breath!” he tweeted.
During the debate, Lemon asked former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas), “President Trump is pursuing a reelection strategy based in part on racial division. How do you convince primary voters that you would be the best nominee to take on President trump and heal the racial divide in America?”
Trump has received criticism from the mainstream media for lashing out at Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) and criticizing his congressional district of Baltimore as being rat infested and a place where no one wants to live, as well as for his criticism of Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), and Ayanna Pressley.
Without using any names, Trump tweeted that the congresswomen should “go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done.”
