Elizabeth Warren: ‘Everyone Should Have Shot at American Dream—That Means Fighting for #GreenNewDeal’

(CNSNews.com) - Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D.-Mass.) said in a Tweet she put out on Monday afternoon that giving everyone “a shot at the American dream” will mean “fighting for” a Green New Deal, Medicare for All, and an ultra-millionaire tax.

“Everyone should have shot at the American dream—and that means fighting for a #GreenNewDeal, #MedicareForAll, an #UltraMillionaireTax, and a whole lot more,” Warren said in her Tweet.

“Read my speech from Saturday if you haven’t already,” she said.

On Saturday, Warren announced that she is running for president.

“But we need a government that makes different choices,” Warren said in her announcement speech. “Choices that reflect our values. Stop handing out enormous tax giveaways to rich people and giant corporations.

“Stop refusing to invest in our children,” she said.

“Stop stalling on spending money--real money --on infrastructure and clean energy in a green new deal,” she said.

“Start asking the people who have gained the most from our country to pay their fair share,” she said.

She then called for “real tax reform in this country.”

“Reforms that close loopholes and give aways to the people at the top and an ultramillionaire's tax to make sure that rich people start doing their part for the country that made them rich,” Warren said.
