( – On the most recent episode of the reality-TV show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” patriarch Bruce Jenner announced his intention to get a firearm for protection, saying, “If somebody comes in my house with a gun, I’m going to blow his a-- away, yeah, absolutely.”

Jenner also said, “There’s a lot of wacko people in the world, and that’s why I think I should have a gun in the house to protect myself and my family.”

During the reality TV show, Jenner explains to several family members that he was at a coffee shop where there also were four sheriffs.  He asked the officers, “Okay, should I buy a gun? And all four of them, in unison, said, ‘yes.’”

“I never have owned a gun, never bought a gun in my life, but the other day we had heavily armed police officers in our house,” said Jenner.

The show’s popularity tends to attract a lot of "weirdos,” Jenner related, adding that, “I think that’s even a better reason to make sure, I get a gun in the house.”

Jenner then tells Kim Kardashian, “You should have a gun, Kim, and you should have it in your house.” She explains, however, “I would never want a gun in my own home.”

Jenner won the gold medal for the decathlon in the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal. He then pursued several career paths in celebrity advertising, auto racing, and as an actor in television movies and the TV series CHiPs.

Jenner married his wife, Kris, in 1991; she was the widow of famed lawyer Robert Kardashian, who died of cancer in 2003. The reality TV show, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” follows  the Jenners and their large family of  Karashian and Jenner children and step-children.
