(CNSNews.com) – Pro-life black leaders are denouncing the disproportionate number of black babies who are aborted every year as genocidal population control.

According to the latest report from the Centers for Disease and Prevention (CDC) 35 percent of of unborn babies aborted in the U.S. in 2013 were black, even though blacks make up only 13.3 percent of the total population.

“All abortion is genocide. All abortion is eugenics. It’s designed for population control for various reasons," Alveda King, the niece of civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr., founder of the National Black Pro-Life Coalition, and director of Civil Rights for the Unborn at Priests for Life, told CNSNews.com.

“The numbers are higher in the African American community, so that’s certainly black genocide,” she said. "But abortion is genocidal in nature and it is a eugenicist plot."

King cited Planned Parenthood (PP) founder Margaret Sanger’s well-documented  statements on population control. Planned Parenthood is the nation’s largest abortion provider

“The Obama administration and Obamacare has been very, very aggressive in pushing this agenda,” King continued, “but we cannot pin it on one administration.

"From 1973 - when Roe v. Wade made abortion legal in America in all 50 states, in some cases right up to nine months - abortion has been carefully crafted and packaged to appear to be health care. The same thing with abortifacients, which are prescribed to women for free to keep them from being healthy child-bearers,” she added.

“We found that there was a dearth of awareness in our African American communities because many of our elected officials, such as [members of] the Congressional Black Caucus and even pastors, doctors, and lawyers had been misled into buying into the agenda with campaign contributions, scholarships and grants. They accepted what was offered and then found out later that it was a terrible, terrible agenda," she pointed out.

“But we also discovered that once black people are made aware of the genocidal eugenics by abortion that the community will speak out and join us. And so what we do is to make sure that the message gets out.

“I would not put the burden on any one elected official or any one group or leader to do this, but all of us working together,” King added. And I believe that the climate is right for us to make a beautiful difference. I believe we will,” she said.

Bishop E.W. Jackson, the founder of Staying True to America’s National Destiny (STAND), told CNSNews that he is also deeply disturbed by the CDC data, pointing out that in any other area, such a disparity would be considered as proof of racism.

Jackson added that he did not understand how people, especially African Americans, can go around “praising Planned Parenthood as if it’s one of the best things that ever happened to the United States of America when the primary thing they’ve done is kill babies.

“It’s clear to me that there’s a moral degeneracy at work that allows [abortion] and praises those who do it,” he told CNSNews, adding that “many like me are out there working to make sure that the black community knows what’s being done to them.”

However, Jackson noted that even the Center for Medical Progress’ videotapes of  PP executives reportedly discussing the selling of fetal body parts was not enough to convince many in the black community to denounce abortion.

“You have to remember those revelations do not come in a vacuum. They come in the middle of a liberal media that has completely sold out to the industry and they’re always going to have a counter narrative. And of course, as you know, the counter narrative was: ‘Well, you know, the tapes were doctored’,” he told CNSNews.

Jackson added that he is praying for an “earth-shattering awakening [that] would turn the black community against the abortion industry and everyone who has been complicit in encouraging them and helping them to kill their own babies.”

America’s Got Talent host “Nick Cannon is saying it. This is definitely genocide,” agreed Ryan Bomberger, co-founder of the Radiance Foundation. “When you read the UN’s definition [of genocide], it is exactly what is going on here. It’s government-funded population control.

“Liberals want to control the population while they let anybody illegally flood into the country,” he told CNSNews. “But this is the nature of liberalism: complete inconsistency and continuing contradictions.”

The CDC report “is a huge disappointment, but what shocks me even more is the lack of outrage that more black babies are aborted than born in New York City,” Bomberger added.

“But there’s also a lack of outrage by the American public. This is not a black or white thing. We’re talking about human destruction here,” he continued. “We’re facing a huge uphill battle, and the biggest problem is that the church as a whole is not engaged. Were it not for the Catholic Church, we wouldn’t have a pro-life movement in the U.S.

“During the ‘60s, population control was challenged by black civil rights leaders. But when I started my campaign, TooManyAborted.com, I was denounced by the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, and the NAACP, which said it was horribly racist and gave a false impression that Planned Parenthood kills black babies.”

But “abortion is the most violent form of government-funded racial discrimination, and the only one that’s celebrated publicly by the Democratic Party, which calls it ‘reproductive justice’,” he continued.

Bomberger - the son of a rape victim who has lectured on many college campuses, including Harvard and Princeton - said that pro-choice students either don’t know that a disproportionate number of black babies are being aborted every year or else have nothing to say about it.

“It’s so frustrating to me that these college students don’t see the obvious. They learn terms in their minority studies classes like ‘systematic racism’, but there's nothing more systematically racist than the government-funded destruction of black lives in the womb. And they don’t see the sheer hypocrisy of Black Lives Matter announcing its solidarity with the abortion movement.

“The pro-choice Black Lives Matter students are encouraged by academia to not employ critical thinking,” he continued. “They don’t know history and they don’t know the numbers. All they have are buzzwords.

“And when you challenge them to do the critical thinking, they don’t.”
