In a speech at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the most important mosque in Jerusalem, Palestinian cleric Nidhal Siam said President Donald Trump is a “barbaric American infidel” and the enemy of Allah.

The speech occurred on May 21, while President Trump was visiting Saudi Arabia, and it was posted and translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).  Nidhal presented his remarks on behalf of Hizb ut-Tahrir, a political group dedicated to establishing the Islamic Caliphate.

According to Siam, Trump’s visit is designed to project hegemony, steal resources from Palestinians through trade deals, and reinforce what Siam called a “war against Islam.”

“America is our enemy, the enemy of our religion,” Siam said.

Siam also claimed Trump was threatening Palestinians by “falsely claiming he will uproot Islam.”

“On top of that, in their utmost vileness, humiliation, and submission, the rulers of shame [Saudi Arabia] and their media present the visit of that barbaric American infidel as a great achievement,” he said.

Siam told his people not to welcome “Allah’s enemy” or Trump’s ideas for the region, but to instead curse him and his supporters.

“Let it be heard loud and clear, so that he leaves the blessed land vanquished and defeated,” said the cleric.
