Commenting on the Golden Globe Awards and "Best Actor" Christian Bale who gave a shout out to "Satan" during the nationally televised ceremony, Rev. Franklin Graham warned that "Satan is a real being" who, after God's judgment at the end of time, will be "cast into the lake of fire" and "tormented" for eternity.

In a Jan. 7 post on Facebook, Rev. Graham wrote, "This morning’s news seemed to be all about the Golden Globe Awards. Who wore what, ten takeaway moments—on and on. Really? And one of the award-winning actors, Christian Bale, stood up and thanked Satan for his help. Wow."

"Satan is a real being and the Word of God has a lot to say about him and his future," wrote Graham. “'And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever' (Rev. 20:10)."

"I am thankful to the One who conquered death and saved my soul with His own blood, Jesus Christ," said the reverend.  "He invited me to spend eternity with Him in Heaven because I repented of my sins and put my faith and trust in Him -- and He will do the same for you."

After winning the Golden Globe Best Actor award on Sunday, Christian Bale in his speech to the crowd said, “Thank you to Satan for giving me inspiration on how to play this role.”

The actual Church of Satan tweeted its support for Bale's comments, writing, "Hail Christian! Hail Satan!"
