Evangelical Christian leader Rev. Franklin Graham will lead a Prayer March in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 26 where he, along with other Christians -- and people of all faiths that want to attend -- will call upon God to "intervene and save this nation."
“Our communities are hurting, our people are divided and there’s fear and uncertainty all around us,” said Rev. Graham on the website of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA). “Let’s join together and do the most important thing, and that is to pray. We’re going to pray that God will intervene and save this nation.”
Also, in an Aug. 15 post on Facebook, Rev. Graham said, "Our country is in trouble, and many people have said they are perplexed as to what to do. There is something we can do -- we can pray! Our only hope is in God."
"I’m holding Prayer March 2020 in Washington D.C. on September 26 beginning at noon," he said. "We’re going to go from the Lincoln Memorial all the way down to the Capitol, praying for our nation. No music, no speakers -- just prayer. I hope thousands will join me."
He continued, "The Word of God promises us 'if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14) Register here to let us know you’re coming:PrayerMarch2020.com."
Franklin Graham is the son of the late Pastor Billy Graham.
