Rev. Graham: Islamic State’s ‘Ultimate Agenda’ is to Hasten ‘A Final Apocalypse’

The barbaric actions of the Islamic State, which beheaded 21 Coptic Christians over the weekend and posted the slaughter online, should come as no surprise because these radical Muslims are evil and their depravity is “fully in keeping” with their goal of “hastening a final apocalypse,” said Reverend Franklin Graham.

“The evil of ISIS really shouldn’t shock us – it is fully in keeping with their ultimate agenda of hastening a final apocalypse,” said Rev. Graham, son of world-renowned evangelist Billy Graham, in a Feb. 17 Facebook post.

“God’s Word tells us that there will be a final battle one day, but it will result in the defeat of Satan and all those allied with him,” said the reverend.

He continued, “One thing is for sure – one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

ISIS is the acronym for the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, which has officially changed its name to the Islamic State.  These Muslim radicals now control large swaths of territory in Syria and Iraq, including areas on the Turkish border, as well as parts of eastern Libya and the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt.

The goal of the Islamic State is to establish a caliphate, an Islamic government, throughout the Middle East and ultimately, they reportedly believe, to help usher in the apocalypse, the End of Days.

In The Atlantic magazine for March 2015, reporter Grame Wood wrote an extensive article on the Islamic State and noted,  “The reality is that the Islamic State is IslamicVery Islamic. Yes, it has attracted psychopaths and adventure seekers, drawn largely from the disaffected populations of the Middle East and Europe. But the religion preached by its most ardent followers derives from coherent and even learned interpretations of Islam.”

“Virtually every major decision and law promulgated by the Islamic State adheres to what it calls, in its press and pronouncements, and on its billboards, license plates, stationery, and coins, ‘the Prophetic methodology,’ which means following the prophecy and example of Muhammad, in punctilious detail,” said Wood.

In the gruesome video – “A Message Signed With Blood to the Nation of the Cross” -- posted Feb. 15 of the beheading of 21 Egyptian Christians, the Islamic State narrator says, “Oh people, recently you have seen us on the hills of Al-Sham and Dabiq’s plain, chopping off the heads that have been carrying the [Christian] cross for a long time, and today, we are on the south of Rome, on the land of Islam, Libya, sending another message.”

Pope Francis, remarking on the murder of the Egyptian Coptic Christians, said that all Christians, including Orthodox, Coptics, Catholics, and Protestants, who are killed because of their belief in Jesus Christ are "martyrs." "They are Christians! Their blood is one and the same. Their blood confesses Christ," he said.   (AP)

“All [Christian] crusaders: safety for you will be only wishes, especially if you are fighting us all together,” says the narrator.  “Therefore we will fight you all together. The sea you have hidden Sheikh Osama bin Laden’s body in, we swear to Allah we will mix it with your blood.”

After the Islamic State killers cut off the heads of the Egyptian men, the narrator says, “And we will conquer Rome, by Allah’s permission, the promise of our Prophet, peace be upon him.”
