Commenting on the House Democrats' impeachment of President Trump, Christian leader Franklin Graham noted that the president was still working hard by completing "his 50th appellate court appointment," which will positively affect the nation "for years to come."
With the help of the GOP Senate, Trump has so far appointed 173 "originalist" judges to seats on various federal courts: District Courts, Circuit Courts, Appeals Courts and the Supreme Court.
Graham also noted that despite House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-Calif.) attacks, Trump's approval numbers are going up and Americans "are seeing this impeachment for the sham it is."
"As the Democrats and their socialist allies are impeaching the president, he hasn’t missed a beat—he’s been busy working," said Graham in a Dec. 18 Facebook post.
"He just successfully completed his 50th appellate court appointment, fulfilling another campaign promise to appoint conservative judges to our court system," said the reverend. "These judges will have a positive impact on our nation for years to come. Thank you, Mr. President."
In a Dec. 18 post, Graham remarked, "I don’t think this is what House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had in mind when they started the impeachment process. Yesterday’s USA TODAY headline shows that President Donald J. Trump leads all the Democratic candidates in the polls."
"The president’s poll numbers are going up, not down, which means Americans are seeing this impeachment for the sham it is," said Graham.
He then called on Americans to continue praying. "I hope you will continue to hold this nation, our president, and every member of Congress up in your prayers," said Graham.
According to the latest Gallup poll, only 46% of Americans support impeachment while 51% oppose impeachment.
Complaining about Trump's judicial appointments, the left-wing Slate said the Senate is "rapidly ramming through radical nominees" and "ensuring that the GOP platform will be implemented from the bench for decades to come."
