A 27-year-old woman in Communist China's Hubei Province recently underwent her 17th abortion, within six years, and the numerous procedures have so scarred her uterus she may never be able to have children, reported the Daily Mail

Doctors at Shiyan Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital in Central China's Hubei Province performed the abortion on the woman, pseudonym "Xiao Ju." She has had so many abortions at the hospital doctors call her "a regular customer."

According to the Daily Mail, Xiao Ju lives with her boyfriend, does not plan to marry, and does not have the means to raise a child. She and her boyfriend do not use contraception, according to the report, and any child born to unwed parents is not given a state ID, which would entitle him to state benefits and schooling.

The young lady demanded the abortion, so the doctors complied.

Dr. Zhao Qin, head of gynecology at the hospital, said of the patient, "I found her uterus lining to be critically thin, like a piece of paper, due to the repeated abortions she had had. Her uterus was also badly scarred."

Dr. Zhao, reported the Daily Mail, had advised the woman to keep the child. She told her, "If you don't have to have this abortion, then keep this baby, because it may be very, very difficult for you to get pregnant again," said Dr. Zhao. "It might have been her most precious child."

According to data from the U.S. State Department and the human rights group Women's Rights Without Frontiers, an estimated 23 million children are aborted every year in Communist China.
