Illegal Alien in Louisiana Charged With Rape of Minor, Human Trafficking

On Friday, Sept. 7, Louisianan State Police arrested an illegal alien from Guatemala and charged him with human trafficking, second degree rape, felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, and molestation of a juvenile. 

The Guatemalan national is Nicholas Asig, 31. His bail was set at $1.2 million. He was booked into the Union Parish Detention Center on Friday. 

According to CBS 10, KLFY.com, the victim is a juvenile female and she also is from Guatemala and in the United States illegally.

"The Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit urges anyone who may have been a victim of human trafficking or anyone with information about individuals engaged in human trafficking to report it immediately," said CBS 10.
