Bishop Harry R. Jackson, Jr., the Presiding Bishop of the International Communion of Evangelical Churches and pastor of Hope Christian Church in Maryland, said that "demonic forces" are trying to block the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, and that there are "demonically inspired people" on Capitol Hill who are being influenced by demons to attain that end.
"What’s happening in D.C. is very unusual,” Bishop Jackson said during an Oct. 2 discussion on TCT Today. “It’s the worst dimension of warfare we’ve ever seen and I believe that God has drawn a line in the sand and he wants to restore and renew America. But the spiritual forces that be want to thwart that."
"So, the Kavanaugh hearings have become a circus because darkness has decided—or demonic forces—that they’re going to try to block him from being in office," said the bishop.
“Once he [Kavanaugh] is affirmed and additional judges are affirmed --- I believe that’s one of Trump’s assignments in a way to shift America for good," said Jackson. "Right now, there is a de facto severe limiting and almost a canceling of Roe v. Wade because the Supreme Court is not going to bring crazy rulings, and that Trump has already changed so many judges that there’s a different kind of judgment that is going forward.”
Bishop Jackson then mentioned that he and other "urban pastors" had met with President Trump in the White House several weeks back and they were criticized by the liberal media for that meeting. But the bishop explained that the meeting was a positive convergence and "every time the Devil sees an alignment that he knows is going to break down his agenda, he begins to manifest warfare on a high level.”
The bishop further noted that the very strong economy under President Trump is helping minorities and women and this is maddening to the forces of evil.

“So, the change in judges, the change – really the opportunity for African Americans, Hispanics, jobs come to the hood, the transformation of urban neighborhoods – all of that is on Heaven’s agenda and Hell is letting us know that it’s not pleased," said Bishop Jackson.
The vicious and relentless attacks and false claims against Kavanaugh and his family by the liberal media, left-wing activists, and Hollywood are physical manifestations of Hell's rage, a public manifestation of the warfare.
"Even though the church doesn’t often understand what God is doing, if the right players are in place, the right situation is set up, there’s going to be a diminishing of Satan’s kingdom," said the bishop.
He continued, “In the Earth realm -- the reason Jesus had to come and become the Second Adam has to do within the Earth realm Heaven’s forces manifested through individuals and Satan’s darkness manifested through individuals rule the day."

"So the gatekeepers in the spirit realm have to be human; in other words, wizards, warlocks, demonically inspired people, people with a Jezebel spirit in the Capitol Hill who are setting laws, all of these things, they are like gates," said Bishop Jackson.
"The Bible says, ‘The gates of Hell will not prevail against the church,'" he added. "Well, the gates and the gatekeepers, in a sense, are humans who are demonically influenced.”
