Commenting on her recent trip to Israel and how the pro-LGBT agenda of the Obama administration is forced on other countries that rely on U.S. aid, former Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) said President Barack Obama tried to undermine the reelection of Israel's prime minister, and implemented anti-Israel policies through the State Department that constituted "cursing" the Jewish nation.

"[T]hose of us who believe the Biblical admonition in Genesis that those who bless Israel are blessed and those who curse Israel are cursed, we recognize that the United States, as a country, has been in a position of cursing Israel," said Rep. Bachmann during a Jan. 5 interview with Family Research Council President Tony Perkins on Washington Watch

“How does the State Department, how does the United States government bless or curse?" she said.  "You brought it up yourself with the State Department, where we’ve seen such evil come out of our State Department, unfortunately, where financial incentives are withheld from countries unless they advance, for instance, the gay agenda.”

“In a country that doesn’t believe in the gay agenda but the Obama State Department has said, ‘Look, you have to have a gay pride parade, you have to make sure that you can show us that ministers are marching in these gay pride parades,'" recounted Bachmann.

"What?" she said. "The U.S. government is telling another government that you have to have gay pride parades? That’s unbelievable. You won’t get your PEPFAR money, you won’t get your USAID money unless you follow our radical social agenda?"

Bachmann continued, "We conservatives are always blamed that we want to talk about social issues too much. That’s all the left will talk about, social issues. And yet they are willing to use U.S. tax money -- in other words, your listeners’ hard-earned tax money -- to beat over the head other nations to come into conformity with lifestyles and behaviors that we know can be detrimental to people and that don’t advance the American cause.”

Earlier in the discussion, host Tony Perkins commented on Israel, saying, “In the last eight years our government has been perverted to be used to advance an ungodly agenda. One of the places that’s been so prominent – and we even see it on this Israel issue – how the State Department, John Kerry in this case, used the United Nations through the Security Council to slap Israel. So, we’ve seen over and over how the State Department has used the United Nations to undermine American values both abroad and here at home.”

Bachmann replied, “There’s no question. I was in Israel two weeks ago and I can tell you that, on the ground, the Jewish people are so thrilled Donald Trump is going to be the next president because they see in him a friend to Israel. They were horrified by the actions of Barack Obama. And, clearly, Barack Obama put every incentive to undermine that government [in Israel]."

"We know today that Barack Obama himself intervened to defeat Bibi Netanyahu, when Bibi Netanyahu was running for reelection to be prime minister," she said. "President Obama’s talking about Vladimir Putin intervening in America when he himself intervened purposely to undermine Netanyahu? And Obama doesn’t deny it."

According to the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations (PSI), the State Department gave $349,276 in U.S. taxpayer-funded grants to a political group in Israel to build a campaign operation, which subsequently was used to try to influence Israelis to vote against conservative Benjamin Netanyahu in the March 2015 election for prime minister.
