In a post on his Twitter page Thursday, former Governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee addressed Kristen Bell’s concern about the Disney film “Snow White,” saying, “But like ‘Medicare For All’ and ‘Democratic Socialism,’ this is a fairy tale.”

“Kristen Bell said ‘Snow White’ ‘weird that prince kisses Snow White w/o permission? U cant kiss someone sleeping!’” wrote Huckabee in a tweet. “But like ‘Medicare For All’ and ‘Democratic Socialism,’ this is a fairy tale.”

Huckabee continued in the tweet: “I don’t think Snow White called Gloria Allred after she woke up to file a lawsuit.”

Gov. Huckabee’s Twitter comments stem from remarks made by actress and Disney Princess from the film “Frozen” Kristen Bell about the Walt Disney fairy tale “Snow White.”

As reported by, “Kristen Bell reads every night to daughters Lincoln, 5, and Delta, 3. … But the ladies don't just read, they discuss—especially classic Disney storylines.”

In the piece, Bell notes, “Every time we close Snow White I look at my girls and ask, ‘Don't you think it's weird that Snow White didn't ask the old witch why she needed to eat the apple? Or where she got that apple?’ I say, ‘I would never take food from a stranger, would you?’ And my kids are like, ‘No!’ And I'm like, ‘Okay, I'm doing something right.’”

Bell goes on later in the piece asking, “‘Don't you think that it's weird that the prince kisses Snow White without her permission?’ Bell says she has asked her daughters. ‘Because you can not kiss someone if they're sleeping!’”
