American lawyer, author, nationally syndicated radio talk show host of “The Mark Levin Show” and host of the Fox News television show “Life, Liberty & Levin,” Mark Levin suggested on his show Thursday that President Donald J. Trump, “1,000 years from now, … will be remembered” for recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights region.

“1,000 years from now, the scribes will be writing about the history that is taking place today in the Middle East – how this great and mighty president defeated ISIS; how this great and might president pushed back Syria; how this great and mighty president recognized the capital of the Israelis and helped protect them,” stated Mark Levin. “He will be remembered for that.”

Mark Levin’s comments came after President Donald J. Trump recognized Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights region, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee praising Trump for making “the right decision,” and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanking Trump and America for making “history.” Trump tweeted the following in his recognition of Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights region:

“After 52 years it is time for the United States to fully recognize Israel’s Sovereignty over the Golan Heights, which is of critical strategic and security importance to the State of Israel and Regional Stability!”

Below is a transcript of Mark Levin’s remarks from his show Thursday:

“So, the president today, again, did something remarkable, did something very historical – those of you who care about history, those of you who care about the Bible, those of you who care about the birth of Judaism, Christianity, and yes, Islam. This president is doing things from 7,000 miles away that are undergirding Judeo-Christian values and undergirding ancient history.

“When you read the Bible, when you read books that talk about the Bible, when you read books or papers that talk about the period, the ancient period 5,000 years ago or so, they mention individuals. Sometimes they’re prophets. Sometimes they’re not. Sometimes they’re messengers. Sometimes they’re kings and queens. They mention individuals who have a profound effect in that part of the world.

“1,000 years from now, 1,000 years from now – I could say take my word for it, but what does it matter? We won’t be here 1,000 years from now – but 1,000 years from now, the scribes will be writing about the history that is taking place today in the Middle East – how this great and mighty president defeated ISIS; how this great and might president pushed back Syria; how this great and mighty president recognized the capital of the Israelis and helped protect them. He will be remembered for that. He will not be remembered for what CNN says. He will not be remembered for what the never-Trumpers say. He will not be remembered for what’s said on the floor of the Senate or the House any more than you remember what was said on the floor of the Roman Senate. He will be remembered. He’ll be chiseled into the history of the Middle East.

“He will be hated by the people he should be hated [by], who should hate him – that is, evil regimes, evil organizations. And he will be admired and loved by people who should admire and love him – people who embrace morality, faith, representative government, freedom.

“That’s what happened today.”
