NFL Free Safety (FS) and former Green Bay Packer Ha Ha Clinton-Dix was recently traded to the Washington Redskins for a fourth-round pick to Green Bay, Clinton-Dix saying about the trade, “It’s a blessing … I’m excited to be here.”
“It’s a blessing,” said FS Ha Ha Clinton-Dix about being traded, as reported on WMAL. “You know, everything happens for a reason. I’m excited to be here. You know, I’m a man of God, and I know the one thing that always came to me was you gotta be ready for change.”
WMAL’s Vince Coglianese reported on the trade, “Well, he is changing, changing numbers. In Green Bay he wore 21 as a tribute to Redskins great Sean Taylor. That number’s not available here, so he’ll wear number 20 when the ’Skins face the Falcons Sunday, airtime’s at noon.”
According to NFL.com, “The Washington Redskins made a move to bolster an already solid defense,” trading for Clinton-Dix and “sending a foruth-round pick back to Green Bay in return, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported.”
In another tweet on his Twitter page, the FS thanked Green Bay, including several images and two hashtags: “#GoPackGo” and “#God100.” Clinton Dix also included the following message about being traded to the Washington Redskins:
“The past few days have been filled with lots of emotion. Even though I will be continuing my NFL journey with the Washington Redskins, there will always be a special place in my heart for the Green Bay Packers.
“I want to thank the Packers organization for the opportunity to rep the green and gold the past 5 years. The relationships made with coaches, teammates, Lambeua Field staff, and the Green Bay community will be missed.
“And for the fans, I can’t express enough how much I appreciate your love and support. You all are amazing!
“I will continue to give back to kids and those in need through my foundation and will keep Wisconsin close to my heart.
