On his nationally syndicated radio talk show Tuesday, host Mark Levin explained that the United States now has “exactly what the framers feared” – an entrenched and “permanent, massive bureaucracy.”

“[W]e have exactly what the framers feared – a president of the United States, elected by the people, who is surrounded by these entrenched, permanent forces – a permanent, massive bureaucracy, supported by a permanent media,” stated Mark Levin. “It’s just incredible to witness this, the unravelling of your own country.”

Mark Levin’s comments came after President Trump, “[w]ith news that a caravan of 1,100-plus immigrants is traveling through Mexico to cross into the United States -- and that actual funding for the border wall is not included in the latest omnibus spending bill,” according to CNSNews.com, stated that the United States was “going to be guarding our border with the military.” A recent CNSNews.com report notes, “The caravan of South American migrants that had been closing in on the southwest border of the U.S. have decided to heed President Donald Trump’s warning that he will use the U.S. military to keep them from illegally entering the U.S.”

Below is a transcript of Levin’s brief remarks on the framers’ fears from his show Tuesday:

“So what the president seeks to do on our southern border is not unprecedented. It was done by Obama; it was done by George W. Bush – two open border advocates.

“And you notice, in many of these areas, Trump is simply trying to clean up after disastrous presidential policies – whether it’s North Korea, whether it’s Iran, whether it’s China, whether it’s Russia, whether it’s our southern border and immigration, sanctuary cities.

“And the work is enormously difficult, enormously difficult, because we have exactly what the framers feared – a president of the United States, elected by the people, who is surrounded by these entrenched, permanent forces – a permanent, massive bureaucracy, supported by a permanent media. It’s just incredible to witness this, the unravelling of your own country.”
