In a tweet yesterday on his Twitter page, NFL tight end for the New England Patriots Benjamin Watson thanked those “standing for truth love and life.” The tweet included a video from this year’s March for Life in which he called on men to support women, mothers and the “lives of the innocent” and suggested that men “can be silent no more.”
“Men, all you men out there, men,” stated Benjamin Watson in the March for Life video under his tweet. “Men, it is past time that we be the leaders, caretakers and providers that we were meant to be. We, as men, must stand up for the lives of the innocent and their mothers in crisis.
“Hey, as important as women have been in championing this cause, you men, us men, must rise up and lead the charge,” Watson continued. “Even if it wasn’t demonstrated to you by a father, you can be different. You can change the course of generations. Men, we can be silent no more.”
The outspoken Christian and pro-lifer NFL player, Watson, said the following in his tweet above the reposted March for Life video tweet:
“Thank you for standing for truth[,] love and life. Honored to support and join you in these most important efforts!”

A yearly demonstration held every year since 1973's Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision, the March for Life is an event in Washington, D.C. – “the largest pro-life event in the world,” according to the March for Life about page – whose vision is to create “[a] world where the beauty and dignity of every human life are valued and protected,” and whose mission is to “[e]nd abortion by uniting, educating, and mobilizing pro-life people in the public square.”
