On his talk show Wednesday, nationally syndicated radio talk show host Mark Levin discussed criminal justice reform and drug offenses, saying that “it’s not a victimless crime.”

“It’s not a victimless crime,” stated Levin. “If your family member has somebody who dies from a heroin overdose, or is addicted to some other – I don’t know all the names – addicted to crack, or cocaine, or dies from the use of LSD or whatever the barbiturates are, then you won’t think it’s such a victimless crime now, will you?”

See below for a transcript of Levin’s comments:

“Yes, I would tell the, this new movement of criminal justice reform that there are many, many victims, and why don’t you spend your time and money on the victims?

“‘Mark, we have victimless crimes just because we are selling drugs on the streets … .’ It’s not a victimless crime.

“It’s not a victimless crime. If your family member has somebody who dies from a heroin overdose, or is addicted to some other – I don’t know all the names – addicted to crack, or cocaine, or dies from the use of LSD or whatever the barbiturates are, then you won’t think it’s such a victimless crime now, will you?

“No you won’t. So why don’t we talk about the victims and their families.

“‘No, no, no. We need massive amounts of prison releases, so we can show we’re bipartisan, and we’re bi-philosophical – show that we have a heart.

“You don’t have a heart. I’m happy to debate any of these so-called leaders of this movement, any d--- one of them. They’ll give me a few anecdotal examples just like I gave an anecdotal example just now.

“But if this is where we’re going then we do need to debate it, and we do need to confront it and challenge it.

“And at the same time our police are under attack. So free the criminals and abuse the cops. That’s where we are right now – in Obama in wonderland. And I refuse to go along. I’m not going along.”
