On Wednesday, radio talk show host Mark Levin stated on his nationally syndicated radio program that “only two presidents in modern times” have effectively addressed the administrative state, and they are Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump.

“There are only two presidents in modern times who have attempted to effectively address this [the administrative state], and have effectively addressed this – Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump,” Mark Levin said. “That’s it. That’s it.”

A transcript of Levin’s comments on Trump confronting the administrative state can be found below:

“What is another area we’ve talked about years and years and years? What have we talked about?

“The administrative state, how it makes laws that are effectively unconstitutional. There is no administrative state in the Constitution. And it needs to be pulled back.

“Obama used it—as the left always does, and some Republican presidents do—to make policy by circumventing separation of powers and Congress. This has been the big achievement of the progressive movement over the last hundred years, especially since the New Deal.

“There are only two presidents in modern times who have attempted to effectively address this, and have effectively addressed this – Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump. That’s it. That’s it.

“Trump has frozen or reversed hundreds of Obama’s regulations – hundreds, hundreds.”
